Searing Tuna Steaks On Grill

Searing tuna steaks on grill. The big difference between grilling and searing tuna is that you need intense heat for searing. The steaks should have a rare bright red. Melt the butter with the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. To grill the tuna get a charcoal or stove top cast iron grill very hot.
While your grill is preheating you can prep your fish. Cook the peppercorns in the mixture until they soften and pop about 5 minutes. Remove the steaks from the grill. Allow them to rest for 15 minutes.

For seared tuna try getting a super thick cut of tuna about three inches thick. Prepare it simply with a light brushing of oil and some salt and pepper and preheat the grill until very hot.
