Samsung Led Wallet Cover Note 8 Not Working

In my case my wife has the same cover in a differant color that does work.

Samsung led wallet cover note 8 not working. Had the case for 8 months and stopped working. I haver tried rebooting in many different ways. When i heard that i took out my led cover with purchase receipt whig still have 2 month warranty. I had the same issue.

The led is not working even i try to use it on my other friends note 8. Guess my case may have stopped working after a drop or something. What i suspect is that even though it is using nfc to send the data to the cover there must be a battery in the cover that is now dead. I got the led wallet case for my galaxy s8 about 5 months ago and when i did a system update on my phone the led notification 297685 5.

I swapped them and her cover works on my phone and my cover does not work on her phone. Should i just buy a new case. Took it to a samsung shop they place it in one of their spares and worked. Has this happened to anyone else.
